Meet the Team
STEPHEN BRADVICA
Founder, CPA
Steve has over 30 years of experience working with small business owners and individual tax clients. He graduated from St Mary’s College of California and received his CPA license in 1989. He opened his own CPA business in 1998 and continues to work with some of his original clients from 30 years ago. Most of his clients are local businesses and individuals, frequently focused on real estate, professional services, and farming. Steve also has extensive experience with trust and estate income tax issues and retirement planning. Outside of the office Steve enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his wife Gretchen and their three adult children, and walking in the mornings with his golden retrievers.
SARAH BRADVICA
CPA
Sarah graduated from University of Portland in 2017 with a degree in accounting and received her CPA license in 2019. After college, Sarah decided to move to Portland permanently and worked with a regional firm, gaining experience with large real estate partnerships and corporations. At the end of 2020, Sarah helped Steve, her father, set up a remote server for the office. Today, she works remotely from her home in Portland and makes the drive down to Ventura with her golden retriever, Sammie, several times a year to see family and work in the office. Sarah loves experiencing the seasons of the Northwest, working on home improvement projects, and working on creative outlets including painting, crocheting, and cooking.
JAMES BRADVICA
Individual Tax Preparation
James grew up in Ventura, and he earned a degree from CSU Channel Islands in Business Administration. He is working toward obtaining his CPA license in the near future and primarily focuses on individual tax preparation. He enjoys wakeboarding at Bass Lake and snowboarding in Oregon, and enjoys spending time with his cousins and sisters.
SHERRY CLOVER
Business Tax and Accounting, Trust Accounting
Sherry has more than five decades of experience in accounting. She currently focuses on trust and estate administration and accounting, though she is experienced in bookkeeping and tax preparation as well. Sherry has worked with Steve for more than 30 years and she still enjoys being at the office. When she isn’t working, Sherry has many hobbies including crocheting, taking care of her decades-old parrot Larry, working on puzzles, and reading.
PATTY YORK
Administration
When you call our office or stop by for a visit, you will meet Patty. She manages the scheduling, makes sure to get important information to clients in a timely manner, and keeps our office functioning at its highest level. She grew up in La Crescenta, and moved to Ojai in the early 90’s. She has worked for Steve for over ten years, and came with 14 years of experience in a medical office. She looks forward to walking her dog on the Ojai trails, and to her weekly golf games. We recently learned she has wicked putting skills.
SUE BRYANT
Business Accounting
Sue is a local girl, and she has lived in Ojai her entire life. She has worked for Steve for four tax seasons, from February through April. After retiring from her office position with a local doctor, she volunteered to do tax prep for AARP. Even though she works long hours during tax season, she continues to offer her services to AARP. Sue is a golfer, and she also loves playing with her dog, and working in her garden of native plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
BRENDA ELLIS
Business Tax and Property Management
Brenda is our “newbie”. She grew up in Aberdeen Scotland and attended school in London before moving to Southern California and earning a degree from Cal State Northridge. She worked for a veterinarian office for 16 years, and she was one of Steve’s clients for ten years prior to joining the team in 2021. Brenda has worked for private companies in the real estate and professional services industries. She has extensive experience with QuickBooks, Online and Desktop. When she is not working, she enjoys caring for her three rescued pets, and playing golf every Saturday with her group of friends.
